A Shopping Trip in the Bullring

I love going shopping in the Bullring but I tend to go to other places now as I don't like driving to town  because of the hideous car parking costs and it is quite likely that i'll get lost because of a silly road diversion (It's happened!). I find it's easier to go to places like The Fort and Merry Hill in terms of parking. However, I ventured into town on Saturday having no idea where to catch the bus as all the routes have changed but I made it. Town was surprisingly quiet, most likely because of the protests that were going on. It meant I didn't have to waste precious shopping time queuing though!

I met up with my lovely friend Catrin and had a good catch up and a productive shopping trip!

Topshop Spotty Dress £18 (Reduced from £32!)

I'm not one for rummaging through the sales but this dress was literally sticking off the rail. I picked it up and it was the right size!

I was planning on wearing this to #VintSetFest tomorrow night but with the weather the way it is, I may have to find something else :/

New Look Swing Cami £9.99

I love this plum colour and the style of these tops. Almost £10 for a 'vest' top is a bit steep though but then again, Topshop are charging £18!

Necklace £3.99

Boots Kiss Nail Glue, Batiste Dry Shampoo and Dove Gradual Tan Moisturising Summer Glow Lotion

Everytime I use nail glue, I manage to glue the lid on and then can't get in it again so I need to be more careful with this one! This one was £2.79.

Batiste was on offer for £1.99 instead of £2.99, so I picked up two bottles and the Dove lotion was half price at £2.49 so hopefully this will keep my tan topped up!

Forever 21 Silver Cross Necklace

This was a bargain at only £2.40. There was a huge selection of gold jewellery in store, especially statement necklaces which I was after but i've always been a silver girl so didn't get anything else. It's worth a look if you're not fussy like me as they have some lovely pieces.

Ted Baker Make Up Bag

Finally, I picked up a Ted Baker Make Up Bag for my friends birthday today. I love the design and wanted to keep it for myself! It was £22.

Pastel Converse

Converse aren't something that I would normally go for as they're not really girly enough for me and I tend to only wear trainers at the gym but when pretty colours are involved, I easily get converted.

I posted a picture on Instagram (lopsywings) about a month ago of two pairs of Converse that I couldn't decide between.

Which ones did I get?!

I love pink but I chose the pastel purple ones as I thought that I'll probably get more wear out of them. I prefer how these ones have purple piping rather than black.

They have interchangeable floral tongues and I wore them quite a lot before the heatwave came so they were a good purchase!

Converse Chuck Taylor® All Star® Multi Tongue £49.99

I've had a pair of Converse personalised before, if you're interested in that you can see my post here.

Summer Empties

A little bit late this month but I decided to make the most of the weather and take my pictures outside!

Here's what i've used up:

Bioderma 250ml - If you haven't tried this yet, i'd recommend that you go and get yourself some! It's amazing how a water based product can cleanse your face so thoroughly.

Batiste Dry Shampoo - Light and Blonde/Wild - I prefer the original dry shampoo's to the hint of colour. It made my hair really yellow whereas the regular ones tend to brighten my hair but as always with dry shampoo, it has to be Batiste.

No7 Eye Make Up Remover - This is a great product and definitely worth getting if you have a £5 off No7 voucher. I went to repurchase this today but my local store was sold out.

Sure Compressed Deodorant

Rituals Yogi Flow Foaming Shower Gel - Indian Rose and Sweet Almond Oil - This came in a Glossybox a fair while ago but I put off using it because the bottle was pretty, it is the most foamy product going. I love all the 'foamburst' style products.

Bath and Bodyworks Pocket Bac Strawberry Cupcake - I buy these for the scent, they're so much better than alcohol scented ones!

Beyonce Heat Rush 30ml Perfume - This is a great summer scent, really fruity and orangey. It's more of a daytime scent compared to Beyonce's original Heat scent.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powders - Transparent - This features every month, I may have to stop mentioning it aha. I love it though.

Elemis Fresh Skin Softly Softly - Daily Moisturiser - I really liked this and may put a review post up on it. It worked well on my sensitive skin and was a nicely scented and textured.

Kate Moss Lilabelle Perfume - I like this, it's mainly floral based and an everyday scent!

John Frieda Everlasting Blonde Conditioner - This came at the perfect time in last months Glossybox, I'd just had my highlights done and was going on holiday so the travel size of it was perfect too!

Ted Baker - Relaxing Bath Soak

Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp Mascara - This originated in a Glossybox and I really liked it. I'll definitely consider purchasing when my mascara stash decreases. It's a thick brush that really plumps and lengthens lashes.

Eucerin Intensive Foot Cream - This is a line from a new range that we are stocking where I work. This was a good product and I'm going to look into the rest of the range.

Benefit Hello Flawless Sample

Bumble and Bumble Creme De Coco Shampoo and Conditioner Samples - I was impressed with how quickly and how much this lathered! I'd like to try the Surf range but can't justify spending £18 a bottle on it.

Glossybox July 2013 - Seaside Splash Edition

I've been super busy with deadlines recently and haven't been posting much but I couldn't not post about this month's Glossybox. Last month's one didn't get a mention but for those of you waiting on the postman this one's a winner!

The seaside themed box is really cute and makes a difference to the regular pink ones.

First up, Anatomicals 'Spray Misty For Me' Facial Spritz. I took a similar product to this away with me on holiday and it came in really useful. It was nice and refreshing so I'd definitely recommend packing something like this if you haven't been on holiday yet. Well with the current heat wave that we've got in the UK at the moment, it will come in handy anyway! You can use it to set makeup as well. It's lavender and peppermint scented and retails for £6 for 100ml. This is a full size version too.

Next up, a Ciate Nail Varnish in 'The Glossip', nail varnish colours in Glossybox can be a bit hit and miss sometimes but i'm really please with this one - a nice coral toned red. £9 Full size again!

Then, there is a Bamboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist. It adds texture, volume and shine to dry or damp hair. This is a miniature version at 25ml of the full size product of 125ml for £23, so has a value of about £4.60.

Coola Classic Sunscreen Cucumber Moisturiser, this has SPF 30 which is important in the Summer and is a multi use product to protect and moisturise skin. This is a 7ml sample worth about £3.70 compared to a full size product of 50ml for £25.99.

Lastly, 2 full size products as one, Sleek Pout Paint in shades: Pinkini and Lava. They're worth £4.99 each. Another good colour choice here, i'm glad that I wasn't sent the blue or silver ones! A little is meant to go a long way so i'm looking forward to trying these.

The box has a value of about £33.00 compared to the £10 subscription price but they're all products that i'll use this time. Sometimes when you get a sample of a £200 cream, you know you're not going to be repurchasing it so it's nice to get a variety.

What do you all think of this month's Glossybox?
