My recent obsession has been candles!

Plain ones are boring but I love scented ones that you can smell when you walk through the door.

I'm really funny when it comes to scents, I don't like spiced scents at all. I smelt a spiced cider candle yesterday and it was horrible eventhough most people would probably like it. I like ones that smell like food and sweets aha.

I wish we could get Bath and Body Works Candles here in the UK. I ordered two minis on Ebay which came to almost £10! I actually thought they were bigger than they were. There is a website you can find them on with UK delivery but they're quite expensive and there are limited scents. http://www.bathandbodyshop.co.uk/

Wild Strawberry
Flower Shop

My favourite candle is one that I picked up from a card warehouse last year for about £2 ish! It's almost gone but for that price I should have picked up a few! It is cookie dough flavoured but I can't take a picture because it has fallen down the back of my TV and I can't get to it!

These Skittles candles were really cheap from B amd M Bargains for only 89p! I think you can get them in Poundland too. They have really good scent pay off.

Melon Berry

I got a few Yankee Candles for Christmas too, Ryan did really well picking the perfect scents for me! The Strawberry one is so good, I want to eat it and the other one is Pink Dragonfruit.

Shopping in Tamworth :)

Ryan's football match was cancelled today because of the snow so we decided to go out for the day. I've done quite well with my spending ban considering today is the 28th of the month but I definitely wouldn't manage the 100 day ban that some people are doing! We headed over to Tamworth and here are some of the things that I got:

All of my favourite leggings have come from Topshop. I laready had these in the pale blue version so I decided to pick up the darker pair, £22. I also got this set of six rings for only £2.50. You can get some bargains in their jewellery sale.

The T K Maxx there was really nice and it's one of my favourite shops anyway! Everything was so tidy and the stock in there was really good. There were some really nice OPI nail varnishes that I considered but I have so many that i'm sticking to nail varnish ban for the time been.

I needed some skinny belts for work. These were £7.99 for 2 and they are Steve Madden which is quite exciting.

It's been so nice seeing the sun out today and this is definitely a piece for spring. I always love pink and neon is set to be big next season so this will be perfect. It was £14.99.

These cute lantern things were in clearance at Hobbycraft for £1 each. I'm planning on using them for make up storage, maybe cotton wool or maybe even lipsticks or something.

Boots have a 3 for 2 offer on Batiste at the moment so I used 598 advantage card points to get these :) In my last haul post I picked up the Superdrug's own brand but I am not at all impressed and am thinking of just putting them in the bin as they don't do anything! Sticking to my trusty Batiste from now on.

My £4.97 shopping trip

This year, I have been trying to save money by almost going on a 'No Buy Month', mainly to save money and simply because I have so much stuff that realistically I don't need anything. I have actually surprised myself with how well i've been doing. Today is the 16th and excluding food and bills, I have spent a total of £4.97 with a bit of cheating/bending the rules.

Firstly, I have avoided going to the shops. Usually Saturday's are my shopping day and i'll buy endless amounts of clothes and make up simply because I want to. I still want to but staying away from the shops has meant i've sorted my room out and rediscovered old things.

My cheat day happened because I had ran out of foundation. I have used Revlon Colorstay for probably two years plus and I love it but I wanted a foundation without SPF for those shots where the flash makes me as white as a ghost.

I headed to Boots accompanied by my £20 gift card that I got for Christmas and my Advantage Card points totalling:

I decided on Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum.  It was on offer for £7.99/799 Boot's points and was Product of the year 2011.  I got shade 51 light vanilla. So far, I like how natural it looks but I prefer foundations with a higher coverage so i'll probably go back to Revlon Colorstay after using this up.

I have had really knotty hair recently and I don't know why. I was sceptical about the Tangle Teezer as it doesn't look that special but after a few positive recommendations I decided to try it. I got the compact one with a lid for about £12/1200 Boot's points. There is actually a bigger one that is cheaper but I liked the pink and black one. I was tempted by the leopard print one! I'm not sure where the theory is behind this but it actually works.

I would like to get my teeth whitened professionally but I am worried about what the long term effects would be. This set probably isn't the best for your teeth either though. This was reduced from £30 to £15 and then, it scanned through at £8.16 at the counter. A strange figure! I haven't used this yet as you have to mould the 'gum shields' to your teeth.

So £0.00 spent in Boots ;)

Next stop, Superdrug. I went to Superdrug as I had read that they had the Batiste dry shampoo on offer for £1.50. Unfortunately this offer wasn't on so I decided to try their own brand as it was on buy 1 get 2 free. So only £1.99 for 3. I am missing my Batiste though, this definitely doesn't have the same effect whatsoever :(

Superdrug: £1.99

Finally, I had a £5 voucher for H&M that I was given after Christmas when I got Ryan some trousers. Who can resist a free £5?

I picked up 2 plain black vest tops as these are quite a staple in my wardrobe so I got 2 for only £2.98 :)

So there we have it a cheeky £4.97 spent!

How are you all getting on?

Glossybox January 2013

Considering it's a New Year and a new start, I actually had higher hopes for my Glossybox. This month's box is the 'Detox Box'. Delivery was quicker than usual which was good but then i'm just impatient!

Lacoste Perfume Sample - 30ml, £33

Tiny perfume samples aren't something that I really like. This ones a flowery scent and is nice but it's definitely not a luxury sample and I've never gone out and bought any of the full sized versions of miniature samples that i've had or even used them up for that matter.

MONU Micro Exfoliant - 100ml, £14.50

This exfoliator sample is 30ml and i'm happy with it. I'll definitely use it but it wouldn't be something that i'd go and purchase myself. Well, we'll see if it surprises me!

SANCTUARY SPA Thermal Transformation Mask - 50ml, 75ml, £27.50

I prefer bottled samples as packets seem to accumulate with me and I don't get round to using them.

BM Beauty Finishing Powder - 4g, £8

This looks quite shimmery so, I think i'll have to try this before giving an opinion!

MURAD Hydro Dynamic TM Ultimate Moisture for eyes - £57 for 15ml

Here we go then, my favourite product in the box. I'm really starting to think about eye creams at the moment. I always horrendously rub my eyes and I think it might be starting to take it's toll. I should know better but I can't help it! So, I used this last night before I went to bed and i could really feel it 'tightening' my skin. The sample size is 3ml which is worth £11.40. I'm impressed with this so far!

Finally, the cute addition:

The sleep mask :)

Without this, this month's box wouldn't have looked like much but nothing can beat the excitement of seeing what you get every month!

Fake MAC

I got this eyeshadow palette for Christmas and i'd say it's fake. I'm not really a MAC fanatic and probably have just over ten MAC products but knowing make up enough tells me that it isn't legit.

I'm not sure whether the person that got me this was aware of the fact but i'm not going to say anything, if it was real of course i'd be very happy with it!

Firstly, I personally haven't seen a MAC palette this size (it's identical to the Sleek palettes in size). Then, you can't tell from the picture but it actually looks like the MAC logo has been tipexxed onto the packaging.

Inside, it looks like the Sleek eyeshadows too and I haven't seen any MAC palettes that come with the silly little sponge applicators.

I'm definitely wary of using this incase it has any dodgy chemcials in.

Let me know what you think about this!

What I got for Christmas 2012 :) Part One

My majorly overdue Christmas post! Ryan really really spoilt me! I'd seen my present pile at his house but when it made it round to my house it had tripled in size. So thank you Ryan! I'm a big kid and used to love having tonnes of surprises when Santa came. I'd rather have lots of little things than a big expensive present but this year I got everything. and I am really appreciative.

If I didnt post this so far, it'd drag on for even longer so I thought this is better than nothing!

Sale Shopping

My Boxing Day sales consisted of River Island alone. My mum hates shopping but she used to take me to town on Boxing Day just to go to River Island, literally the one day a year she would come shopping with me! We used to queue outside until it opened at 10am. This time, I couldn't be bothered with the chaos that was bound to be happening in town so I went to our local mall. I got in quite early but this year, well last year now, they had opened at 8am!

I had a look at the online sale on Christmas Eve and couldn't believe how much had already sold out.

I saw this grey cardigan online and knew I wanted it as I have the oxblood jumper version and had considered getting this one before aswell.
It was reduced from £35 to £17 but there was only one left and it is a size 14 when I would normally get a size 10 but I wanted it aha.

Excuse the headless shots!

This cape was reduced from £48 to £25. This was an impulse buy and I wouldn't have paid full price for it.

Leopard Jumper £15

I don't know how much this was before the sale but I have a bit of a leopard print obsession so it just ended up in my basket!

Black Skater Skirt £10, was £18

I was looking at this before the sale so it was just coincidence that I got it reduced :)

Did you get any bargains?

New Years Eve OOTN

Better late than never! I'm so behind on all the Christmas posts but they'll be here shortly.
Happy New Year!

Here's what I wore:

Make Up:

Revlon Colorstay Foundation 180 Sand Beige
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent
MUA Bronzer
MAC Beauty Powder in Flower Mist Dew
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner in Black
Maybelline Mascara False Lash Effect
Girls Aloud Nadine Fake Eyelashes
Naked Palette eyeshadows
Wet and Wild Lipstick

Excuse my mother chilling in the background!

We went to my uncle's house as he has a party every year and then headed over to our neighbours house at about 1am.

Impress Nails - Dancing Queen

Leather Jacket New Look £34.99
Leopard Top River Island Sale £10 instead of £25
Leather Look Trousers New Look £19.99
Glitter Heels Treds £24.99

I haven't really set any precise resolutions but I want to start exercising more and starting eating healthy but I can't start this until i've eaten all of my Christmas chocolate!

Also, I have absolutely tonnes of make up and beauty products, so i'm going to try to use these up before buying more and more. Top of my exceptions list is a foundation without SPF so that I don't look like a ghost in photos.

Then, my wardrobe is excessive so i'm going to try not to buy any more clothes for the time been, this won't last long but its worth a shot. I picked up a few things in the River Island sale on Boxing Day so that'll be up soon.

December Empties

I've actually used up quite a lot of products this month that I really like rather than ones I actually want to get to the bottom of and use up.

I'm going to try my hardest to use up a lot of my products instead of constantly buying new ones and having excessive amounts! I have no excuse as I got lots of new goodies for Christmas. This wont last too long but i'm going to aim for a month or two at least.

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel - I absolutely adore this scent and its pink and glittery! It's usually reduced after Christmas so I should've picked some up.

Rimmel Gentle Make Up Eye Remover - This does the job and is oil free so isn'tt as stubborn as removing make up as it could be. I'm more likely to purchase another eye make up than this again but I got the No 7 Eye Make Up Remover in a set for Christmas so that's next!

Soap & Glory Moisturising Mist - This is good and great for when you want to moisturise really lazily and quickly, literally spray and go. If i'm going out, I don't like having cream still waiting to be absorbed into my legs!

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Moisturising Conditioner - I'm still using the shampoo of this as I go through conditioner twice as fast as I do shampoo! I like to switch my shampoo/conditioner up so probably will go back to it in the future but i'll probably use up others that i've got for now.

Batiste Dry Shampoo LOVE - enough said.

Korres Shower Gel - I think this is a hotel robbery, it's a shower gel  and nothing exceptional but i do want to try their lip butters.

Soap & Glory Hand Maid Anti-Bacterial Gel - I like to be clean so I like to carry one of these in my bag and it's a pocket must have at work as I work in a pharmacy.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - I think this is in every empties post i've done. Definite must have.

Alison Clarke Mango Body Butter - I got this in a Glossybox here. I used this really quickly it smells amazing and I like the pump dispenser.

More exciting posts to come! I'm so behind on Christmas but it's time to get back into the routine again, i've missed blogging aha!
